Elected Officials

Our downtown revitalization happened because of David Loveall. He will stand up for Springfield against special interests and bring our open for business, commonsense approach to the entire County.
— Christine Lundberg, Former Springfield Mayor (2010-2021)

Byron Trapp, Former Lane County Sheriff

I have known David for 27 years and he is a compassionate person that cares deeply about his community. Along with that compassion is an intellect that comes up with “out-of-the-box” solutions that have revitalized downtown Springfield.
— Jay Bozievich, Lane County Commissioner
All communities need sincere leaders of solid character and integrity. We are
fortunate to have one in David Loveall.
— Steve Cornacchia, Former Springfield County Commissioners & Vietnam Veteran
I hired David to work in my camera store when he was 15. Energy, intelligence, enthusiasm, attitude, honesty...all those reasons I hired him are evident in the way David approaches EVERYTHING he does today. David has a way of inspiring and leading others to work with him to accomplish what he’s envisioned. In addition to all the Downtown Springfield projects he’s involved in, he has founded Three Sixteen ministries in Uganda which has built several churches, been involved in an orphanage, installation of solar power, and more. David’s “Can Do” attitude will serve Springfield and Lane County well.
— Kenny Eilers, Former Springfield City Councilman & Downtown Springfield business owner

What They’re Saying About David Loveall

David Loveall gets stuff done. He saw a chance to make Downtown Springfield great and seized the opportunity before many thought it was possible.
— Dana Turell-CEO Turell Group
I have known David Loveall for over 20 years. He is unwavering in his heart for Lane County and the hard work he puts in to make it a better place. As a business owner and a mom looking at my kid’s future here, I cannot think of anyone better to serve on the county commission.
— Jennifer Waggoner, Small Business Owner
Every story can be changed, you were the spark that began to change the story of Springfield.
— Robert Killen, Economic Development Leader
As a Mother of seven, we have to make every penny stretch. We can’t continue to endure policies that will make basic costs like utilities and gas so expensive. We need leadership who won’t cower to social interests and who will represent hard-working individuals and families in Springfield like us.
— Talia Stroud, Stay at Home Mother & Adoptive Parent
As a 60-year resident of Lane County, I have a great appreciation for the long term and deep community ties that David Loveall has. He has the energy, motivation, and personal resources necessary to thrive at the job. Loveall went all in on Springfield by investing his private funds to help downtown step up its economic game. David Loveall understands the issues like public safety and local economy, and how they should be prioritized. I wholeheartedly endorse David Loveall for Springfield County Commissioner.
— - Doug Hooley, Retired Chief Deputy, Lane County Sheriff’s Office (1988-2013)
I’ve known David Loveall for nearly 15 years now. In that time, I’ve come to understand that without fail, when David is spearheading a project or a concept or an ideal, the atmosphere shifts and he brings a clear focus. He is forthright, astute, driven, passionate and driven by an intense work ethic. It’s an honor to call him a friend and mentor.
— Jason Gallic
There is a momentum in Springfield that is undeniable, and…people like David [Loveall]..will continue that momentum with force.
— The Springfield Chamber of Commerce Bottomline 12-5-19
David is one of the most focused, and encouraging people I know. His direct communication and clarity of purpose has been a standard for a young entrepreneur like myself. I’m honored to call him a friend, role model and brother.
— Joshua Stroud, Financial Advisor
So very proud of you and your journey! Your gamble to purchase the downtown building demonstrates that you “walk the walk”!
— Harold Gerwien, former Navy supervisor
My name is Albert Roy. I am the chief Instructor at the Eugene School of Karate. I have spent 29 years teaching martial arts to children and adults with the specific goal of teaching them life skills such as integrity, compassion, goal-setting, and discipline. The character traits of all great leaders.

I met David Loveall and his wife Nita four years ago. I love his vision for Downtown Springfield. Since then, I moved into one of his lofts, leased one of his buildings for my dojo, traveled Uganda with both of them to do humanitarian work, and sat at the picnic tables on Main Street discussing all areas of life during the COVID lockdowns.

I’ve always been impressed with David’s personal story and his character. He is a person who stands up for what is right at personal expense. He is a collaborative coalition builder, and is the person Lane County needs to move forward.
— Albert Roy, Springfield
